How It Works

Understanding rounds, rewards, and participation

🎰

Solo Mining (Lotto)

1

Connect any miner, any size — there are no hashrate limits or restrictions

2

Your miner submits shares (proof of work). Each share is like a lottery ticket

3

If YOUR share solves a block → you get the full 3.109 BTC reward

4

If someone else's share wins → you get nothing. It's a pure lottery!

Capped Pool Mining

1

Anyone can join — no limit on the number of participants. The more miners, the faster blocks are found

2

Each miner has a per-person hashrate cap (100 TH/s or 10 TH/s). Any hashrate above the cap is still accepted but ignored for reward purposes

3

Submit at least 1 valid share during a round and you're counted as a participant

4

When a block is found → reward is split equally among all participants. 10 people = 1/10th each. Your hashrate doesn't matter — everyone gets the same share!

⚠️

Understanding "Capped" and Equal Split

The cap is per-miner, not per-pool. The pool itself has no total hashrate limit — anyone is welcome to join. The cap (10 TH/s or 100 TH/s) means any individual miner contributing above that threshold has their excess hashrate ignored for reward calculations.

Rewards are split equally per person, not proportionally by hashrate. If 50 people are mining when a block is found, each person gets 1/50th of the reward — whether they contributed 500 GH/s or the full 100 TH/s cap.

Why is this fair? Because every participant contributes to finding the block, and equal split means small miners aren't overshadowed by big ones. A Bitaxe with 1 TH/s earns the same share as an Antminer with 100 TH/s.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "capped" mean? Is the whole pool limited?
The cap is per-miner, not per-pool. There's no limit on how many people can join — the more miners, the better! The "cap" means each individual miner's hashrate is limited for reward purposes. In Capped 10, if you connect a 50 TH/s miner, only 10 TH/s counts. In Capped 100, only 100 TH/s counts. This keeps the playing field level without restricting access.
How does "equal split" work? Does my hashrate matter?
In capped pools, when a block is found, the reward is divided equally among all participants — not proportionally by hashrate. If there are 20 participants, each gets 1/20th of the reward regardless of whether they contributed 500 GH/s or 100 TH/s. Your hashrate helps the pool find blocks faster (which benefits everyone), but your share of the reward is the same as every other participant.
Which pool should I choose?
Solo Lotto: You want the chance at a full ~3.109 BTC block reward. High risk, high reward. Good if you have a lot of hashrate or just enjoy the lottery.

Capped 100: You want steady, shared rewards with other miners. Good for mid-range ASICs up to 100 TH/s.

Capped 10: You're running a Bitaxe, NerdMiner, or small home miner and want to pool with other small miners for a fair shot at shared rewards.
What equipment can I use?
Any SHA-256 Bitcoin miner! Popular options include Bitaxe (Supra, Gamma, Ultra), Antminer S9/S19/S21, Whatsminer, Avalon, and more. All pools accept any miner — the "cap" just limits how much hashrate counts per person for reward calculations.
How do I connect my miner?

Configure your miner with:

URL: stratum+tcp://pools.minesolo.io:PORT

User: YOUR_BTC_ADDRESS.worker_name

Password: x

Replace PORT with 3333 (Solo), 3335 (Capped 100), or 3337 (Capped 10).

When do I get paid?
Solo Lotto: Instantly when you find a block (after 100 confirmations).

Capped Pools: After a block is found, rewards are distributed to all participants once the block has 100 confirmations (~16 hours).
What if I join a round late?
No problem! As long as you submit at least 1 valid share during the round, you're counted as a participant. Rounds can last days or weeks, so there's plenty of time.
Can whales dominate the capped pools?
The equal-split model actually makes whales less of a problem. Even if someone connects 500 TH/s to Capped 10, they only get 1 equal share of the reward — the same as your Bitaxe. Their extra hashrate helps the pool find blocks faster, which benefits everyone. The cap exists to signal which pool is meant for which type of miner.
Is this pool custodial?
Solo Lotto: No! Block rewards go directly to YOUR Bitcoin address.

Capped Pools: Temporarily, yes. Block rewards go to a pool wallet, then are distributed to participants after confirmation.
